I downloaded an app sometime ago which had a Trojan horse virus, it has the ability to brake into your storage steal your pictures, apps and contacts.
I had this app which could help me download status from whatsapp it was someway somehow unused.

I was able to clear up the mess by deleting the app and removing the app using an antivirus.

That took me some time to answer though but had an Idea, through this I was able to retrieve or recover or get back all my lost or mistakenly deleted contacts. Now here is the HOW to get your contacts back.
SIMPLE AND EASY STEPS TO RETRIEVE OR RECOVER LOST, STOLLEN OR DELETED CONTACTS.
Follow the steps below and you should be done I less than 5 mins.
1) You have to download this app called" Recover deleted contacts "from google play. You can also download it from here.
2) Tap install to install and open the app.
3) Select recover lost contacts from the menu that appears and wait a while for the app to search your phone for all contacts that might have been deleted, lost, removed or stolen by a malware or virus.
4) when the app is done retrieving all the lost contacts which were deleted from your phone or Sim card, tap on "Restore" to restore all the contacts that ate missing from your Sim card or phone back to their original place.
5) Now close the app and go to your phone book, contact list or Sim card and by then you should be smiling because your hard work should have paid off.
Now enjoy calling and messaging or texting your retrieved or recovered lost, stollen, removed or deleted contacts. Enjoy.
