The rate at which technological theft is growing is highly appalling. Day in day out people complain about either their smart phones or devices are being stolen. I am going to take you through some easy going stats with which you can retrieve your smart device in the case of theft. Today , I am going to take you through how to locate your android or smart device using a google account. Almost all if there are any exceptions android devices uses google services and users are required to create google accounts. it is through this account we are going to track the phone. let me let you know a few requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
1) The first thing you need is an active google account with know login details on the missing device.
2) An active internet connection
3) A smart device you will use for tracking

HOW TO CREATE A GOOGLE ACCOUNT
1) Open your web browser and type create a google account
2) From the list of displayed search output select create gmail, or sign up or create a google account.
3) This will lead you to a page where your personal information such as first name and age will be required fill out all requirements and choose a username and a password by clicking next each time.
4) Use your real number for an SMS verification process
your account should be successfully created by now. sign in your device through google play store or goto set settings > Accounts > add account >select gmail to log you in. after this you are secure and sure you can retrieve your phone when it's lost.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD GOOGLE FIND MY DEVICE
Just as we download any Android app, follow same procedure.
1) Go to play store app and click to open it.
2) In the search box type " google find my device "
3)click on it and tap download to download it.
4) click on open to launch the app.
Now we are done installing this app it's time for the real tracking.
HOW TO TRACK ANY LOST DEVICE.
In our case using this unique app find my device.
1) sign in not as guest except its not your own device so as to keep your account safe but with the account of the lost or missing phone or device.
2) Wait for some time as the app will search the whole world I mean the whole world for your device.
3) If the device is online and it's location is on the its exact location can be pin pointed by google and you can follow the map direction directly to your phone. Now you can report to the police to assist in getting the phone.
woala!! You have successfully located your device in my case it's a tecno spark 2.
The app also features some cool functionals such as locking the phone or device remotely,playing the ring tone of the phone and total erase of the data on that device. Also if erase all data then you won't be able to recover the device as the Google account will also be wiped so use this feature only when all other options fail.
Note: you can use it to find the device lost in your home or small environment my selecting play sound as this will cause the phones ring tone to start at that moment. and you can easily locate it .
In addition use "secure device" that's if it's location is off. with this feature you will be able to lock the phone the moment it comes online, and leave a message or contact info so anyone at all can contact you when they find it, remember all these won't work except that device has an internet connection.
lock the phone and leave your contact info and call the police so you can be assisted in case it's an armed or unarmed robber. Hope this was useful?
HOW TO FIND YOUR PHONE USING THE INTERNATIONAL MOBILE EQUIPMENT IDENTITY (IMEI) NUMBER.
There's yet another method we can use to track and find our stolen devices .Before I can say anything about it I will like to tell you more about an IMEI Number, every device has a unique code that is attached to it by the maker or creator of the phone ,considering two Google pixel phones of the same version name and manufacturing date will never have the same IMEI number it's like how no two human beings can have the same finger print therefore your phone when lost can be found using this unique number called the IMEI number.
This method can only be used if you have written down the IMEI number already, so it more like a backup plan.To know your IMEI number dail *#06#.when you dail this number, the unique code will be displayed write it down in a secured place other than the phone itself because you will need it to find the phone.
HOW TO TRACE THE LOCATION OF YOUR PHONE USING THE IMEI NUMBER
This is a very simple thing to do,it can be done in these simple steps

Last used date:
E-mail for communication:

You are done after 24 hours your phone will be traced via a complex GPS system and the location with other details will be sent to you via email you can now report to the police to asist in tracing the phone.
